hahaha my college had like 1600-2000 people? i think? the biggest class i took was in our second largest lecture hall that seated 60 or 70 people, and there were only like 35 students in the class?😂 the town the school was in had a population around 6000-8000 so the college was like 15-20% of the people in the town for most of the year.

I think the reason why they are so into this is because a child is easy to control. They get a weird ego high out of being like, "I am such a good dad/man, look at me, I'm protecting my daughter!" A 5 year old is much easier to protect/control than an adult woman.

I guess it’s not always respected but the common age to leave your kids home alone is 12./13. Childcare services go to age 12 and that used to be the baby sitter age (12-18). If the police show up at your home and your kid under 12 is by themselves you can get arrested for child endangerment/neglect. People still do it.
